Course Bookings
Bookings made through Arkitech Training by the customer when required, a provision of an official purchase order is to be supplied. Arkitech Training shall confirm course bookings within 1 working days. Where bookings are more than 4 delegates, please contact us direct to confirm delegates numbers.
Remaining Spaces
If you require more bookings than the scheduled date, please contact us.
Public scheduled Courses
Bookings are subject to availability and limited to 10 places.
Private Courses
For larger corporate bookings, additional course requests are submitted through Arkitech Training and are subject to availability but are not limited to 10 places. Private courses also offer additional flexibility on timings and deliverables. Costs may vary, depending on the requirements.
VAT
All course fees are exclusive of Value Added Tax which should be added to the amount shown at the current ruling rate.
Payment Terms
Once the course has been confirmed, where payment is by invoice, this must be received no later than 4 weeks before the course start date, to secure the booking.
For card payments through Arkitech Training, payments are immediate, and the booking space is secured.
Non-payment bookings reserved up to 4 weeks before the course start date are not secured, but are provisional and therefore are subject to change and availability. Where additional bookings are secured with immediate payment, this may result in a cancellation or a deferral of the booking.
Payments are due immediately where bookings are made within 4 weeks of the course start date. Payment options will vary and will be shown at the time of booking on Arkitech Training.
Course Cancellation
Courses, a request to cancel a booking must be made without charge 4 weeks before the course start date.
Within 4 weeks of the course start date, requests to cancel are charged as follows:
0-5 working days – full payment due
6-10 working days – 25% of fee payable
11-20 working days – 15% of fee payable
For group bookings, if more than two places on the same course, booked by the same organisation, the first four places will be subject to cancellation and deferral terms given above. Additional places where cancellations have been made are subject 15% payable fee.
Virtual Courses
Course delegates are responsible for ensuring they have the right environment, set-up for effective course learning. A stable internet connection is required for virtual courses and online BCS exam.
Arkitech Training is not liable for any delegate not being able to complete either the course or exam where they do not meet the criteria as described above.
Details of the required software, hardware, environmental setup, will be required by Arkitech Training upon receipt of booking request and payment.
Delegates attending the course or taking a BCS exam, using a corporate device, are responsible for ensuring that full access is provided with no restrictions where the firewall prevents installation or use of any required software prior and during the course.
Arkitech Training Recommended pre-reading
If there is a recommended or mandatory pre-reading list for a course, Arkitech Training will provide the reading list to the customer as part of the booking confirmation. Reading books, unless stated, is not included as part of the course fee. The customer will be responsible for purchasing the recommended book and ensuring that pre-reading is completed. Some books are available in electronic format, however e-readers and other electronic devices cannot be used during exams.
Course Changes
Arkitech Training reserves the right to make improvements to the course and its format for the benefit of its customers without notice to the customer.
BCS exam re-takes
Where a delegate does not meet the required standard to pass a BCS exam they may opt to retake the exam. An exam only fee will apply to all exam retakes. This will range from £190-£230 depending on the subject and the invigilation arrangements available.
Course Scheduling Changes
Arkitech Training will use all reasonable endeavours to avoid changes to any public and private course dates. Arkitech Training does however reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any course where necessary and will advise the customer as soon as this change is known. When this change is unavoidable Arkitech Training will refund in full all monies paid by the customer, or at the customer’s option apply all monies to a rescheduled or alternative course.
BCS General policies
BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT recognises that some delegates may have some additional requirements for their examinations. This may be the result of a disability, medical condition or for candidates whose native language is not English. Candidates should familiarise themselves with the general policy document covering aspects relating to the:
Reasonable adjustment and specials consideration policy
Malpractice and Maladministration policy
Identification checks procedure
Delegates who require assistance or reasonable adjustments must apply no later than four weeks before the examination date.
Customer responsibility and liability
The customer accepts that it is their responsibility to ensure that the selected course meets the requirements of the delegate attending the course. The customer accepts the delegate has the necessary level of competence to be able to achieve the objectives of the course.
Arkitech Trainings’ liability for loss and damage shall be limited to a claim for damages. The maximum aggregate liability will be the charges for the course out of which the loss or damage has arisen. Arkitech Training will not be liable for indirect, special or consequential loss (including loss of anticipated profit or data), howsoever arising, even if it has been advised of such potential loss.
Copyright
The copyright and all other intellectual property rights in all course materials shall remain the sole and exclusive property of Arkitech Training. The customer understand that they will not copy or permit the photocopying of course materials, nor disclose or permit the disclosure or sell or hire the same to third parties, nor use the same for running your own courses.
